FAQ / Frequently asked questions at TüBus

You can find current passenger information, traffic news and changes to the standard timetables (diversions, construction sites, modified timetables due to COVID-19) under the TüBus traffic news.

If you want to present your valid, non-transferable ticket – such as your monthly travel card – or file a justified objection, please send us an email to kontrolle@swtue.de, providing the following details:

  • Your request
  • Your EBE (penalty fare) number
  • a photo of your valid ticket incl. proof (pupil / student identification card, identity card or passport, pension certificate, KreisBonusCard, etc.)

If the ticket machine or the validator for 4-trip tickets is not working, please first ask the driver. You will be given a replacement ticket. By the way, you can validate 4-trip tickets yourself by making a handwritten entry of the date, time and direction.


For further clarification, please send us an email to tuebus@swtue.de, indicating 

  • the boarding stop
  • the direction of travel
  • the line number and time (or bus number plate)
  • your address and bank details

If we can track the defect in the protocol of the ticket machine, we will reimburse you for the fare.

The monthly travel card for holders of the KreisBonusCard is available at all TüBus points of sale. You can find a list of all points of sale including their location under Buy tickets.


Monthly student travel cards with KreisBonusCard are only available on presentation of a notice of rejection from the City of Tübingen or the District Office Tübingen. Further information is available from the District Office Tübingen.

There is a naldo after-school option for students. This regulation permits students to use local public transport from 7.00 pm, if they pay the fee for local public transport to naldo when obtaining the student identification card.
