Deutschlandticket - one ticket for all trips
Deutschlandticket JugendBW
The Deutschlandticket is valid on local public transport throughout Germany. The ticket costs € 49.00 – € 34.00 for Tübingen residents – per month and is a subscription that can be cancelled on a monthly basis.
The ticket is worthwhile for all those who want to use their car less often and be mobile within the entire naldo network or even throughout Germany. The ticket is cheaper than almost all existing naldo subscriptions. Those who have previously travelled with monthly travel cards several times a year should also consider switching to the subscription.
You have to order the Deutschlandticket online in the naldo customer portal abos.naldo.de, which requires prior registration.
For discounted variants (City of Tübingen, D-Ticket JugendBW, holder of KreisBonusCard), you must provide corresponding proof (official identification document, certificate of registration, certificate of enrolment, KreisBonusCard, etc.) during the ordering process.
The monthly price will be debited from your account at the beginning of each month.

You can order the Deutschlandticket as a mobile ticket online in the naldo customer portal at full price for the current or next month. (Guide for ordering steps in the naldo subscription customer portal)
Within 48 hours you will receive an e-mail with the mobile phone ticket code, alternatively it will also be displayed in the contract overview in the naldo customer portal. By entering your surname and the "WDW code" in the Where To? app, your mobile phone ticket will be displayed. You must first install the Where To? app on your smartphone. For discounted variants, the process may take longer, as the proof must first be checked and approved. (Please note that orders placed at short notice at the weekend/on public holidays may not be processed by the Abocenter until the following working day).
The Deutschlandticket chip card can also be ordered online on the 10th of the previous month via the naldo customer portal. Please note that the chip card has a delivery time of approx. 3-4 weeks and will be sent to you by post. This must be taken into account when selecting the month of validity.
After 12 hours at the latest, a print@home ticket will be made available to you in the naldo customer portal. Once you have printed this out, you can travel within the naldo area.
Please note: This paper ticket is unfortunately not valid throughout Germany.
Local orders at the naldo Subscription Centre (using an order form) must be received by the 10th day of the previous month.
The sales launch is planned for 3 April 2023. The Deutschlandticket will be valid from 1 May 2023.
The Deutschlandticket is offered to Tübingen residents with a discount of € 15.00. As proof of your residence, you must upload a document, e.g. your identity card or certificate or registration, in the naldo online portal.
Should you already have a naldo subscription and benefit from the Deutschlandticket, we usually change your subscription automatically.
Up to four children under age 6 can travel at no extra charge; the regular fares do not include any other additional passenger options (Deutschlandticket regular fare and Deutschlandticket Tübingen).
The naldo-Plus option turns the Deutschlandticket into a transferable ticket within the naldo network. In addition, up to four persons can travel with you at no extra charge: from 7.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, in each case until 5.00 am on the following day. The additional option can be cancelled on a monthly basis. The notice of cancellation for one or several months must be received by the competent subscription centre by the 10th day of the previous month. Tickets for this period must be returned in good time.
The naldo-Plus option is only available in the regular fare and cannot be combined with the Deutschlandticket Tübingen.
The naldo-Plus option can only be ordered in the form of a chip card.
No, the Deutschlandticket is a personalised ticket and cannot be transferred to another person.
The naldo-Plus option turns the Deutschlandticket into a transferable ticket within the naldo network. The Deutschlandticket Tübingen (€ 34.00) cannot be combined with the naldo-Plus option (transferability) and is only offered as a personalised ticket. The regulation that a subsidised ticket must be personalised – i.e. non-transferable – was stipulated by the Tübingen Municipal Council and adopted for the Deutschlandticket Tübingen. It ensures that only persons who live in Tübingen receive the discount on their personal ticket. Making the ticket transferable would have undermined the subsidisation limited to Tübingen residents.
However, all persons who live in Tübingen have the possibility to order the Deutschlandticket at the regular price of € 49.00 and combine it with the naldo-Plus option.
The subscription can be cancelled on a monthly basis.
If you would like to cancel your Deutschlandticket subscription, you must inform us by the 10th day of the previous month by letter, fax or email and return the corresponding monthly sections to us. In this case, no money will be debited from your account for the selected month.
You can also request the cancellation of your Deutschlandticket subscription (including mobile tickets) in the naldo online portal.
The Deutschlandticket is valid for one calendar month. After the end of the month, it remains valid until 3.00 am on the following day.
The Deutschlandticket is generally designed for the long term. At the Conference of the Ministers of Transport in October 2022, the federal states expressed their wish to review the model after two years. It is subsequently planned to be given a legal framework.
The Deutschlandticket is valid on local public transport throughout Germany. It allows for using all underground trains, suburban trains, trams and regular buses in Germany. In addition, the Deutschlandticket is valid in regional rail transport in Germany – i.e. on regional trains, Regional-Express and InterRegioExpress. The Deutschlandticket is not valid in long-distance transport, i.e. on ICE, IC, EC and long-distance buses.

The Deutschlandticket is set to become a comparatively inexpensive offer and will be valid on public transport throughout Germany. The price of the Deutschlandticket could rise over time. The transport ministers are planning "dynamisation" in the form of an automatic inflation adjustment from the second year onwards.
The Deutschlandticket is planned as a subscription for all. From 1 December 2023, there will be the D-Ticket JugendBW for young people up to age 21 as well as for pupils, apprentices, FSJ and BFD participants up to age 27. This can be ordered online from November 2023 in the naldo customer portal as a mobile ticket or in the form of a chip card. The D-Ticket JugendBW is a personalised annual subscription that is valid for twelve consecutive months. It is not transferable, is only valid for trips in 2nd class and costs € 30.42.
It is also available as a discounted variant for Tübingen residents for € 22.00 (proof of residence required).
Yes, from 1 March 2024 there will be a Deutschlandticket Tübingen with KreisBonusCard as a subscription for €15.00 per month. From 1 February 2024, you can apply for it via the naldo customer portal abos.naldo.de. Registration is required for this.
Proof of the KreisBonusCard of the district of Tübingen is mandatory. The subscription is only offered online in the naldo customer portal and is only available as a mobile phone ticket or chip card. The subscription is issued for 12 months and ends automatically, after which it must be reapplied for.
The Deutschlandticket JugendBW Tübingen with KreisBonusCard will also be available from 1 March 2024 at a price of €10.00. Eligible are children / teenagers / young adults residing in the city of Tübingen with proof of school, training or voluntary service up to the age of 27 with a KreisBonusCard Tübingen.
Pupils with a KreisBonusCard or KreisBonusCard Junior Tübingen also require a letter of refusal from the district of Tübingen to cover the costs of school transport as part of the education and participation package of the district of Tübingen.
A valid KreisBonusCard Tübingen as well as the respective proof of education and, if applicable, the rejection notice from the district of Tübingen must be presented during the ordering process. With KreisBonusCard Junior Extra, the D-Ticket JugendBW is also available without a rejection notice.
Existing Deutschlandticket Tübingen or Deutschlandticket JugendBW Tübingen customers can inform us of their wish to change by e-mail. Please send your full name, date of birth and proof of the KreisBonusCard Tübingen to abo@swtue.de.
Your existing subscription will then be changed in accordance with the order deadlines. Already issued chip cards (naldo eCard) can continue to be used, mobile phone ticket customers will receive a new mobile phone ticket code at the end of the changeover month, which must be updated in the Where to go app.
The discounted tickets with KreisBonusCard are valid for 12 months and must then be re-applied for. In the event of premature cancellation (before the end of the 12-month period), we reserve the right to charge an additional fee of €2.00.

D-Ticket JugendBW Tübingen
The D-Ticket JugendBW Tübingen is a personal annual season ticket for students, trainees, FSJ'ler, Bufdis up to the age of 27, which is valid for twelve consecutive months. It is non-transferable and is always valid for 2nd class.
The Deutschlandticket is valid round the clock, seven days a week, on local public transport throughout Germany (no long-distance transport such as ICE, IC, EC, long-distance bus) for any number of trips in 2nd class.
The D-Ticket JugendBW does not include a take-along rule.
The D-Ticket JugendBW can always be applied for via the naldo online portal on a chip card or as a cell phone ticket. Please note the different delivery times (see FAQ/frequently asked questions → "Where and how can I buy the Deutschlandticket?").
If the chip card is lost, a replacement card is available for a fee of €10.00. And if it is forgotten, the increased transportation charge is reduced to € 7.00 on presentation of the card.
You must provide corresponding proof (official identification document, certificate of registration, certificate of enrolment, KreisBonusCard, etc.) during the ordering process.
The subscription is valid for at least 12 months. If it is not canceled, it is extended for a further 12 months.
The discounted tickets with KreisBonusCard are valid for 12 months and must be reapplied for afterwards.
The subscription ends regularly at the end of the 27th year of age.
In the event of premature termination before the end of the 12-month period, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee of €2.00.
D-Ticket JugendBW for students
The D-Ticket JugendBW for students is valid for six months for the respective winter or summer semester and only in conjunction with a valid student ID. It can be purchased up to and including the semester in which you turn 27.
The D-Ticket JugendBW for students is valid around the clock, seven days a week on local public transport throughout Germany (not long-distance services such as ICE, IC, EC, long-distance buses) in 2nd class.
The D-Ticket JugendBW does not include a take-along rule.
The D-Ticket JugendBW for students can be applied for via the naldo online portal.
During the ordering process, the relevant proof of age, place of residence and proof of study must be uploaded.
